Job summary

Centex Materials seeks a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance, repair, and preventive programs for ready-mix plants and related equipment. You will lead maintenance staff, manage budgets, and partner with operations to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, implementing preventive/predictive programs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring OSHA compliance while driving cost efficiency and reliability across production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical, vocational, or trade school education preferred.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Previous supervisory or maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience in ready-mix concrete, aggregates, asphalt, cement, or similar industrial operations preferred.
• Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance planning, budgeting, and contractor management.
• Background in welding, fabrication, industrial controls, hydraulic systems, or electrical troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant management and operations teams to reduce downtime and support production needs.
• Supervise daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for ready-mix plants and associated equipment.
• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Coordinate maintenance of batch plants, conveyors, silos, mixers, dust collection systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and other production systems.
• Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate maintenance employees while promoting safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Manage maintenance work orders, equipment records, inspections, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, spare parts inventory, and repair services.
• Monitor maintenance costs, budgets, and performance metrics to support operational efficiency.
