As a Ready Mix Driver, you will operate a ready‑mix truck to load, transport and unload ready‑mixed concrete at various locations while practicing proper traffic, site and delivery safety procedures. You must display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members, provide excellent customer service, and be knowledgeable about material properties.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform daily truck inspections and report needed repairs.
2. Daily maintenance of equipment.
3. Drive a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
4. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
5. Clean and maintain the truck.
6. Ensure proper loading and adjusting of ready mix to the proper slump.
7. Make contact with the customer on the job site for unloading instructions and secure signature on the load invoice.
8. Ensure proper use of truck tracking software.
9. Work independently without direct supervision.
10. Report information accurately and completely on daily time cards and other required paperwork.
11. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high‑stress situations. Be self‑motivated, a team‑player with strong interpersonal skills; maintain positive customer relations and act courteous and respectful of others.
12. Maintain proper information in the truck cab and perform daily housekeeping.
13. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulations, including attending required training.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

1. A CDL Class B license or higher with at least two years of truck‑driving experience.
2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure, medical card, and an acceptable driving record.
3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights, and some Saturdays.

Compensation

$29.00 – $35.00 per hour, depends on experience.
