Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a seasonal CDL driver in North Dakota to operate concrete mixer trucks and support job sites in the Grand Forks area.

You will perform daily truck inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure proper loading of ready mix while following safety regulations. A CDL Class B with two years of driving experience, a valid medical card, and a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license or higher with two years truck driving experience.
• Ability to hold and maintain licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily truck inspections and report needed repairs.
• Daily maintenance of equipment.
• Deliver concrete mix to job sites with an auxiliary concrete mixer truck.
• Maintain safety and traffic awareness.
• Load and prepare ready mix to proper slump; secure load signatures.
• Operate truck tracking software and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team under high-stress situations.

Job Summary

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.

Duties and/or Responsibilities

1. Perform daily truck inspections and report needed repairs.
2. Daily maintenance of equipment.
3. Drive truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
4. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
5. Clean and maintain truck.
6. Ensure proper loading and adjusting of ready mix to proper slump.
7. Make contact with customer on job site for unloading instructions and secure signature on load invoice.
8. Ensure proper use of truck tracking software.
9. Be able to work without direct supervision.
10. Report information accurately and completely on daily time cards and other needed paperwork.
11. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
12. Maintain proper information in truck cab and perform daily housekeeping in truck cab.
13. Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

1. A CDL Class B license or higher with two years truck driving experience.

Compensation

$29.00 - $35.00/Hour, depends on experience
