Job summary

CalPortland's Ready-Mix Driver position at our LAX plant in California is responsible for delivering freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to job sites, while maintaining safety and quality. A current Commercial Class A or B license with air brakes and tank endorsement is required.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, comply with DOT regulations, operate a multi-axle mixer truck, and communicate with site personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Commercial Class A or B license with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• DOT Medical Certificate current.
• Ability to read a map and follow GPS directions.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, following traffic laws.
• Clean vehicle and remove concrete buildup from exterior parts.
• Report incidents/injuries to management.
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management.
