Job summary

City of Lincoln is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver to safely operate a ready-mix truck and deliver concrete to various job sites. The role supports plant operations, production assistance, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety standards.

The position requires a valid Class B license with a tanker endorsement, 6+ months of driving experience, and a clean driving record. Expect day-long duties with DOT logging and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid class B driver’s license and current medical.
• Tanker endorsement.
• 6+ months of driving experience.
• Driver record cannot contain any reckless driving offences, DUIs, leaving the scene of an accident, etc.
• Driver record cannot contain more than 1.5 active points in the last 36 months.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operates and drives a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently.
• Perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Visually inspects concrete slump and mixer consistency.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Complete and maintain a DOT Daily Logbook when required.
• Understand hazards and communicate them to supervisors and fellow drivers.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Work up to 16 hours, with up to 11 hours driving per day.
• Wear proper PPE at all times.
