County Materials Family of Companies is hiring a Ready-Mix Driver to transport freshly mixed concrete from the batching plant to construction sites in Ironwood, Michigan. The role emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and customer service, with responsibilities ranging from vehicle inspections to maintaining concrete quality.

The position requires a Class B or A CDL with air brake endorsement, an active DOT qualification, and at least 2 years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class B or A CDL license with air brake endorsement.
• Maintain an active DOT qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience; training available for Ready-Mix procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Self-motivated and flexible to workload; good judgment on unloading and operation.
• Safety minded when performing tasks; willingness to learn and be trained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ready mix concrete from the batching plant to job sites and customers.
• Provide professional customer service with contractors and site personnel.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on truck, plant, and yard areas.
• Clean mixer truck between loads to maintain concrete quality.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections using an electronic tablet.
• Monitor concrete mix consistency during transport and prior to unloading.
• Ensure all delivery tickets and waivers are signed and documented.
• Assist with plant and yard maintenance and safety procedures.
