Job summary

Heidelberg Materials delivers ready-mix concrete across the Southeast. We are looking for a CDL-ready driver to operate a ready-mix truck and ensure on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, communicating with dispatch, loading/unloading as needed, and maintaining safety in varying weather conditions at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical capability to handle the demands of the job.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete products to customers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Ensure accurate delivery tickets and maintain communication with dispatch.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
