Job summary

Knife River - South is seeking a Ready Mix Driver to safely deliver concrete to various sites. The role requires punctuality, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to complete paperwork and inspections.

CDL and English proficiency are essential, with a Class B as minimum and Class A preferred. As part of our team, you will contribute to reliable service, maintain truck cleanliness, and support quality and safety standards across projects while working flexible shifts, including possible

Qualifications

• Previous truck driving experience; concrete experience is a plus but not required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid CDL, clean MVR and DOT/CDL records.
• Class B minimum; Class A preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to comply with FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial, construction and residential projects.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment.
• Document each delivery and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Develop product knowledge and emphasize quality and service.
• Wash residual concrete from the truck and maintain a clean appearance per policies.
• Follow all safety policies to prevent unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Attend to other duties and ensure timely, regular attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous truck driving experience (concrete experience preferred, but not required).
• Possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license, clean MVR record and DOT/CDL records.
• Class B minimum requirement, Class A preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comply with FMCSA regulations, understand traffic signs, communicate with law enforcement, and complete required records.

Duties and/or Responsibilities

• Safely drive and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial, construction and residential projects.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections on truck equipment.
• Document each delivery and complete all paperwork that may be necessary.
• Develop product knowledge and understand the importance of quality & service.
• Wash residual concrete from the truck and maintain a clean appearance by complying with Knife River’s operational policies, procedures and standards.
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
• Timely and regular attendance is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. a number of times a day.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights and overtime.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.
