Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a ready-mix truck driver in Parkersburg, WV to deliver concrete on schedule. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, communicate with dispatch and customers, and ensure loads are handled safely and accurately.

Requires a valid CDL, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently or with a team. We offer $25.73/hour, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and union-backed medical, dental, vision, pension, plus paid vacation and holidays.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites on schedule
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers
• Manage the loading, transport, and unloading of concrete according to specifications
• Maintain a clean truck and complete required delivery documentation accurately

What Are We Looking For

• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with safe driving capability
• Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and situational awareness
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and adapt to changing job site conditions
• Effective communication skills and customer-focused mindset
• Dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
