Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is hiring a Reading Tutor to help students become strong readers in a local Mississippi school. You'll train with proven activities, deliver 20-minute tutoring blocks, track progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach to tailor support.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and act on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English—speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software
• Commit to ongoing growth through coaching and training
