Job summary

Reading Truck Group in Reading, PA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the hourly production team, uphold safety standards, and drive operational excellence across daily line operations.

You will coach staff, coordinate workloads, monitor KPIs, maintain production schedules, and pursue continuous improvement to meet quality, safety, and delivery goals.

Must have at least 3 years of supervisor experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of experience leading an hourly skilled trade workforce.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hourly production team members to drive performance and accountability.
• Coordinate daily operations, assign work, and optimize staffing for efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs, production boards, attendance, and required reporting/evaluations.
• Promote a safety-first culture and address workplace hazards.
• Maintain quality standards and production schedules to meet customer expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Support interviewing and selection of hourly team members.

Lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality products while driving operational excellence. You’ll oversee daily production activities, foster a culture of safety and accountability, and champion continuous improvement to achieve key performance goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop production team members to drive performance and accountability.
• Production Management: Coordinate daily operations, assign work, and optimize staffing to maximize efficiency.
• Training & Development: Provide hands-on training and guidance to strengthen team skills and performance.
• Quality & Delivery: Maintain quality standards and production schedules to meet customer expectations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, maintain production boards, track attendance, and complete required reporting and evaluations.
• Team Building: Support the interviewing and selection of hourly production team members.
• Operational Support: Perform additional duties to support team and business goals

What You Bring to the Table:

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: Minimum of (3) years prior experience leading an hourly skilled trade workforce
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
