Job summary

Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Denver in Brighton, CO is seeking a part-time Student Services Paraprofessional to support students with learning plans through small-group and individual interventions on site. The role reports to the Dean of Student Services and requires high standards, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual or small groups of students who are at-risk to provide educational interventions and progress monitoring, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, or ALPs.
• Implement small group/individual intervention instruction, progress monitoring, and other activities related to reading support.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.
• Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses.
• Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during interventions.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Dean of Student Services or Headmaster.
• Complete all required training and provide documentation as well as official college transcripts within 90 days of hire date.
• Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance by adhering to assigned work hours, reporting on time, and following proper procedures for absences or tardiness to ensure minimal disruption to students, colleagues, and school operations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English to effectively perform their job responsibilities and communicate in the workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned
