Job summary

Penn Manor School District is hiring a Building Aide Level II to support students at Pequea Elementary. The role follows prescribed lesson plans to reinforce reading and math concepts and uses a variety of assessments to monitor progress.

The aide will communicate results to teachers and parents and participate in instructional team meetings to support student success. This is a 180-day program with a daily schedule of up to 5 hours, not exceeding 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (transcripts required); OR obtain an associate’s (or higher) degree.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations needed
• Knowledge of Public School Code
• Valid PA Driver’s license and/or access to transportation
• Pre-employment requirements as designated by the PA School Code

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans to instruct and reinforce reading and math curricula.
• Utilize assessment tools and progress monitoring for reading and math.
• Communicate student progress with teachers and parents; participate in team meetings.
