Job summary

Learn It Academic Services in Queens, NY seeks an After School Teacher to provide engaging, small-group instruction in reading and mathematics. You will design lessons, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and school staff to support student success.

Required certified teaching status and experience with elementary to high school students; Title I experience preferred. Remote teaching tools may be used as needed, with a strong emphasis on data-driven instruction.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Teaching Certification or Statement of Eligibility
• Teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
• Title I experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional learning experiences for students in need of academic support
• Develop lesson plans and implement academic interventions in reading and mathematics
• Engage students in learning and maintain a positive classroom environment
• Assess, document, and report student academic data and progress
• Collaborate and communicate with principals, classroom teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team
• Implement program components and adhere to applicable compliance requirements
