Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking enthusiastic tutors to lead reading and writing instruction after school. You will work with small groups (no more than 3 students) and deliver pre-planned lessons designed to boost literacy skills.

Positions are for elementary to high school levels, with flexible part-time hours and a supportive team. This is not a remote role; you’ll be teaching on-site and helping students build confidence in reading and writing.

Qualifications

• Four year degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a tutoring environment.
• Knowledge of tablet computers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction in reading and writing in small groups (up to 3 students).
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and motivate students to succeed.
• Support students across elementary to high school levels.
