The Riverside Magnet School at Goodwin University is seeking a full-time Reading Intervention Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in East Hartford, CT. You will deliver early literacy interventions and support classroom reading instruction.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of elementary literacy. Knowledge of literacy intervention strategies and remedial literacy programs Experience with and ability to provide training and resources to ensure use of effective, defined specialized strategies that meet the needs of diverse early learners in general education settings Demonstrated ability in diverse and inclusive settings Excellent oral and written communication skills Knowledge and experience with SRBI and social emotional supports Knowledge and experience in the Common Core State Standards, 21st Century Skills, provision of high-quality core general education practices and practical application of differentiated instruction for all students Knowledge and experience in the use of assessments that enable educators to monitor academic and social-emotional progress to drive educational decision making Preferable Qualities/Competencies Team player, positive attitude, and successful track record in the elementary setting Experience in the development of comprehensive systems of academic and social-emotional learning and support. Strong communication, organizational, and professional learning skills. Demonstrated ability to support teachers in the use of strategies that will improve student’s skills and confidence. Experience working with culturally, socially, and economically diverse student/parent populations Ability to use data to assess, monitor, and improve teaching and student performance
