Qualifications

• State teaching licensure/certification with appropriate endorsements.
• Bachelor’s degree with subject area emphasis and/or coursework and/or experience to be deemed 'highly qualified' for the grade/subjects to be taught; non-certified entrants may be required to complete a plan to become 'highly qualified'.
• Demonstrated commitment to young people’s learning success and achievement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching/tutoring via prior tutoring or teaching experience; evidence of working with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment conducive to learning across classroom, small-group, and one-on-one settings.
• Plan academic interventions tailored to individual students and collaborate with general education teachers to deliver interventions.
• Establish clear objectives for interventions and align them with state and school curricula and lesson plans.
• Frequent evaluation of student data to ensure interventions are effective and to plan adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, student progress, and funding-related documentation.
