Job Summary

Tower Health Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated full-time General Surgeon to join Reading Hospital. Our hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on patients’ lives and grow professionally in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of general surgeries, including but not limited to abdominal, hernia, gallbladder, and colorectal procedures.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  3. Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for surgical patients.
  4. Participate in on-call rotation and emergency procedures as required.
  5. Provide education and support to patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery, and care.
  6. Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and best practices through ongoing professional development.
  7. Teach and mentor surgical residents during their clinical rotations, providing hands-on guidance and formal instruction.
  8. Participate in teaching conferences, grand rounds, and other educational activities for residents and medical students.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or equivalent degree.
  2. Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery.
  3. Current medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  4. Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
