Job summary

Alpha is seeking dedicated reading guides for on-site work at a campus in the United States. You will support K–3 students with structured literacy using apps, focusing on diagnosing gaps and applying short, efficient sequences to close them.

About 70% of the role involves guiding students through core daily activities, with 30% dedicated to targeted reading sessions. The team emphasizes data-driven instruction and hands-on coaching throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years direct work with children ages 4–9 in educational or related programs.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K–3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning, identify gaps, and guide progress toward daily goals.
• Lead targeted, structured-literacy sessions with small groups (2–4 students).
• Diagnose decoding gaps from running records and fluency probes; implement designed sequences.
• Manage morning launch, life-skills workshops, and classroom routines to keep students engaged.
• Support weekly app goals with gamification and consistent monitoring through the day.
