Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 13+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience planning, executing, and assessing training and exercise programs within a DoD, federal, or defense industry environment.
  • Working knowledge of DoD contracting and understanding of FAR, DFARS, military, and government regulations.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI access.

  • Lead and manage strategic and operational readiness requirements across the program.
  • Provide expertise in the analysis of training and exercise activities within the Information Advantage community.
  • Evaluate concepts of operations, strategic plans, operational plans, policy, doctrine, authorities, regulations, and statutes to support mission effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and provide training services for demonstrations, exercises, operational systems training, and mission training.
  • Represent the program's senior training and exercise subject matter expert before senior government stakeholders.

Description

General program information and/or position overview. Leidos is seeking a Readiness Training and Exercise Lead to support the Indo-Pacific Logistics and Sustainment Services (ILS2) contract in Hawai’i. This position serves as the program's senior authority on readiness, training, and exercise activities, ensuring USPACOM and component command forces are prepared to execute logistics and sustainment operations across the Pacific theater. Job summary: As the Readiness Training and Exercise Program Lead, you will oversee the planning, execution, and assessment of training and exercise activities supporting readiness across the ILS2 program. You will evaluate concepts of operations, plans, policy, and doctrine to ensure training products align with mission requirements, and coordinate training services for demonstrations, exercises, and mission training events. Success in this role requires deep training and exercise expertise, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to operate effectively with senior government stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Oversee programs, initiatives, and projects supporting readiness, training, and exercises under the task order.
  • Lead and manage strategic and operational readiness requirements across the program.
  • Provide expertise in the analysis of training and exercise activities within the Information Advantage community.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on concepts of operations, strategic plans, operational plans, policy, doctrine, authorities, regulations, and statutes to support mission effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and provide training services for demonstrations, exercises, operational systems training, and mission training.
  • Serve as the program's senior training and exercise subject matter expert, providing guidance to Senior- and Journeyman-level training personnel across ILS2 task areas.
  • Represent the ILS2 program in training and exercise planning forums and working groups with USPACOM and component commands.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 13+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience planning, executing, and assessing training and exercise programs within a DoD, federal, or defense industry environment.
  • Working knowledge of DoD contracting and understanding of FAR, DFARS, military, and government regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating concepts of operations, plans, policy, and doctrine to support mission readiness.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access required prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with USPACOM, subordinate Commands, and Pacific/Strategic Partner Nations.
  • Master's degree in a training, education, or planning-related discipline.
  • Experience supporting joint exercises, demonstrations, or operational systems training events.
  • Familiarity with the Information Advantage community and associated training requirements.
  • Experience mentoring or leading training teams across a multi-task or multi-site program.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $130,000.00 - $235,000.00
