Job summary

Trinity Academy St Thomas’ is seeking an outstanding primary teacher to join our SEND unit. You will work with pupils who have SEN, including SEMH and social communication needs, providing intensive, personalised support to close learning gaps and boost confidence.

In a nurturing, small-group environment, you will contribute to pupil progress and align with our Christian values as we prepare pupils for success in the wider school community.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding, passionate and inspirational primary teacher with excellent subject knowledge in a SEND unit.
  • Able to contribute to improvements in pupil progress.
  • Experience with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and social communication difficulties.
  • Experience delivering targeted academic intervention in small-group settings.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We areseekingto appoint an outstanding,passionateand inspirational primary teacherto work within our specialist SENDunit,who has excellent subject knowledge andis able tocontribute to improvements in pupil progress.‘The Beacon’ is an SEN provision that supports children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and social communication difficulties. Working within a nurturing, small-group environment, the Beacon provides targeted academic intervention to help pupils close learning gaps, develop effective regulation strategies, and build confidence and resilience. Through intensive, personalised support, staff help children overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to achieve both academically and emotionally while preparing them for success in the wider school community.
