Job summary

StaffAsset Ltd seeks an experienced Supervising Social Worker for the Government of Jersey’s Fostering & Adoption Team. You will supervise foster carers, assess carers, contribute to training, and work with children, families and partner agencies.

This temporary role covers safeguarding, risk assessment and care planning with records kept within statutory timescales. The assignment starts soon for a minimum of three months, 37 hours per week in Jersey.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with experience in fostering/adoption settings.
• Experience supervising carers or teams is desirable.
• Ability to work with children, families and partner agencies within statutory timelines.

SUPERVISING SOCIAL WORKER FOR THE FOSTERING & ADOPTION TEAM

StaffAsset is recruiting an experienced Supervising Social Worker for a temporary assignment with the Government of Jersey’s Fostering & Adoption Team.

You will supervise and support foster carers, assess prospective and existing carers, contribute to training and annual reviews, and work with children, families and partner agencies. The role includes safeguarding, risk assessment, care planning and maintaining accurate records within statutory timescales.

The assignment is for a minimum of three months, with potential extension, working 37 hours per week in Jersey. Pay is £45 per hour. Jersey-based applicants and candidates willing to relocate are welcome. Travel and accommodation support for relocating workers is available under the advertised assignment terms.
