Job summary

Disability Positive in Bolton is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support day-to-day living for a wheelchair user. You will provide personal care, transfers to and from a wheelchair (no hoist required), showering and dressing assistance, and light domestic tasks.

The role includes accompanying to rehabilitation swimming sessions, shopping trips, meals, and social activities; on-site work with a Disability Confident employer scheme. Training is provided where needed.

Supporting transfers to and from my wheelchair (no hoist required)

Assisting with showering, dressing, and hair care

Helping with gentle arm and leg stretches (training provided)

Household Tasks

Making beds and general tidying

Loading and unloading the dishwasher

Laundry and light ironing

Preparing meals, snacks, and drinks

Social & Community Support

Accompanying me to rehabilitation swimming sessions (you will need to be able to swim)

Supporting shopping trips and leisure activities

Helping with occasional errands such as posting letters or parcel.
