Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking a reliable Class 2 Flatbed / Skip Driver to join our Lincoln team. The role involves driving a flatbed or skip vehicle across Lincolnshire, collecting and delivering bins, and handling loads safely.

You will work independently for much of the day, with early start 5:30am to 3:00pm, overtime available, and a supportive team environment. Applicants with a valid Class 2 licence and good manual handling skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 flatbed or skip vehicle across Lincolnshire.
• Carry out scheduled collections and deliveries of bins.
• Load, unload and handle bins with manual handling.
• Enter and exit the vehicle frequently, up to 30 times per day.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and operate the vehicle safely.
• Record collections and deliveries using the specified systems.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of service.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Provide support with overtime when required.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Flatbed / Skip Driver to join our team based in Lincoln.

The role involves driving a flatbed or skip vehicle throughout Lincolnshire, carrying out collections and deliveries of bins. This is an active role involving regular manual handling and frequent getting in and out of the vehicle.

You will be working independently for much of the day, so a strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to work without direct supervision are essential.

Key Duties:

• . Driving a Class 2 flatbed or skip vehicle throughout Lincolnshire
• . Carrying out scheduled collections and deliveries of bins
• . Loading, unloading and handling bins, including some heavy lifting
• . Getting in and out of the vehicle frequently, potentially up to 30 times per day
• . Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is operated safely
• . Using technology and relevant systems to record and manage collections and deliveries
• . Working independently while maintaining high standards of service
• . Following health and safety procedures at all times
• . Supporting with overtime when required
