Female Care Assistant – Chester-le-Street (DH2)

Optimum Care (Nottm) Ltd is recruiting a compassionate and reliable Female Care Assistant to support an elderly lady in her own home in the Chester-le-Street (DH2) area.

The role involves supporting the client with her morning routine, getting out of bed safely, dressing, preparing tea, breakfast and light meals, food and fluid support, medication prompting, mobility and falls awareness, light household tasks, laundry, companionship and monitoring changes in her health and wellbeing.

The client is able to manage many aspects of her personal care independently but requires full support with dressing. She uses a walking frame/stick and has a history of falls, so the carer should encourage independence while ensuring her safety.

Continuity is particularly important. We are looking for a dependable carer who can attend consistently and build a trusting relationship with the client, as she prefers familiar carers and does not like frequent changes in care staff.

A female care worker is required for this particular package due to the personal care requirements and the client's privacy and dignity needs.
