Job summary

Mr Clutch Autocentres is seeking a qualified vehicle technician/mechanic to join a friendly team and help develop our branch. You will diagnose, repair and service customer vehicles, with a bonus scheme rewarding productivity and efficiency.

Hours: 8.30-5.30 Mon to Fri and 8.30-5 Sat, with up to 44 days paid leave and in-house training opportunities at our Strood/Reading academies. Own tools required, starter kit may be provided.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified or time-served vehicle technician with hands-on experience.
• Ideally holds a current driving licence for road testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and specifications.
• Test and diagnose faults in vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles and provide written reports on defects or impending failures.
• Ensure all work complies with safe working practices.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the company.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and highly skilled Vehicle Technician/mechanic to join our friendly team and assist with the development of our branch.

Our skilled vehicle technicians / mechanics are the backbone of our business and are required to diagnose, repair and service our customers’ vehicles. We are always looking for great vehicle technicians to contribute to the success of our business by carrying out servicing or repairs in a timely fashion in order to get the vehicle back on the road as quickly as possible. If you are a fully qualified (or time served) vehicle technician and ideally hold a current driving licence (so that you can carry out vehicle road testing).

Purpose of Job

• You will be required to carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards

• You will be required to test and diagnose faults
• You will be required to examine vehicles and provide a written
• report on vehicle (or component) defects or systems of impending failure
• You will be required to ensure all work is carried out observing safe working
• practices of self and others
• You will be required to act as a brand ambassador

Only vehicle technicians / mechanics with appropriate hands-on experience and qualifications in the motor industry should apply. In return, we offer excellent earning potential, a good bonus scheme and working practices.

Hours: 48 (8.30-5.30 Mon to Fri & 8.30-5 Sat)

Own tools required but a starter tool-kit can be provided.
