Job summary

North Ayrshire Council is seeking a janitor/cleaner (peripatetic) to support our facilities management in local schools. The role is term-time and requires travel across the district, being primarily based in the Three Towns. A valid driving licence and access to a car are essential for this post.

Core hours are 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet service needs. PVG checks are required for this regulated work with children.

This post is to assist with the provision of high-quality janitorial/cleaning within North Ayrshire Schools for the Facilities Management Team. This post is a peripatetic, term-time position. Primarily based in the Three Towns, the successful candidate will be expected to travel throughout the whole district. The core working hours are 7:30am until 4:00pm Monday to Friday however, candidates must be flexible to meet the needs of our service. A clean driving licence, and access to a car is essential for travelling to various locations.
