Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking a Reactor Vessel Engineer- Engineer 1 to support reactor vessel internals in nuclear power plants. The role reports to the Manager, Reactor Vessel Internals, Component Design, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will develop expertise in design, construction, operation, and decommissioning, and collaborate across teams to resolve issues. A Bachelor's in mechanical engineering is required.

About The Role

As Reactor Vessel Engineer- Engineer 1 - you will perform a variety of engineering tasks to support reactor vessel internals in nuclear power plants.

You will report to the Manager, Reactor Vessel Internals, Component Design and based at the Westinghouse Headquarters in Cranberry, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. You will work a hybrid scenario at the manager’s discretion. We will not provide relocation assistance for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
• Develop technical expertise in US and international nuclear markets.
• Work in teams to resolve critical issues affecting the construction and operation of nuclear power plants.

Qualifications

• We require a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
