We are seeking an experienced UI React Lead Developer to lead the design and implementation of innovative digital banking and financial technology experiences. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, business stakeholders, and backend teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective UI solutions.
- Lead the design and development of responsive, scalable, and accessible web applications using React.
- Establish frontend architecture, coding standards, reusable component patterns, and development best practices.
- Build and maintain reusable UI components using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks and libraries.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Lead technical discussions, code reviews, UI workshops, and provide mentorship to development teams.
- Ensure applications meet quality, performance, security, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Partner with UX and design teams to implement consistent, intuitive, and visually engaging user experiences.
- Support the integration of new digital experiences with existing banking platforms and enterprise systems.
- Evaluate and recommend frontend technologies, tools, frameworks, and development practices.
- Troubleshoot complex UI issues and guide teams in resolving technical challenges.
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative solutions where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Lead Frontend Developer, UI Lead, React Lead Developer, or similar
- Extensive hands-on experience with React.js.
- Experience designing and implementing reusable component libraries and frontend design systems.
- Proficiency with state management solutions such as Redux, React Query, Context API, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with testing tools and methodologies, including Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate business and user requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality UI solutions.
- Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Relevant certifications and a track record of successful enterprise application delivery are aplus.
