As a Java Full Stack Developer (Java + React), your challenge is to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product owners, QA teams, and database teams. You will leverage Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, JUnit, SQL, and Agile methodologies to build high-quality software solutions, enhance application functionality, and ensure successful delivery across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Your expertise will contribute to delivering robust, secure, and performant applications that meet evolving business requirements.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110K - $120K/year & benefits (see below).
Job Description:
- Minimum 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- 6 to 8 years of hands-on Java development experience with strong expertise in React.js.
- Strong experience in developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices, and React.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Reviews.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design and functional specifications.
- Experience creating and managing user stories, tasks, and sub-tasks within Agile project environments.
- Experience with JUnit and automated testing frameworks for unit and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for story tracking, defect management, and sprint execution.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL development, and database deployment processes involving DDL and DML changes.
- Experience collaborating with QA teams for SIT/UAT testing, test data preparation, and issue resolution.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve defects during testing and production support phases.
- Knowledge of application deployment processes, release planning, and production implementation support.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Banking and Financial Services domain experience is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and create functional specifications, solution designs, and technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and related technologies.
- Create and refine user stories, tasks, and estimates to support Agile project delivery.
- Design and implement new application features and enhancements based on product requirements and business needs.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Write and maintain JUnit test cases to improve application quality and code coverage.
- Manage and update JIRA stories, testing tasks, and defect tickets throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with database teams to review and validate DDL/DML changes for application releases.
- Work closely with QA teams to prepare test data, support SIT/UAT execution, and ensure successful validation of application functionality.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve defects identified during testing and production support activities.
- Prepare deployment and release plans, ensuring smooth implementation across environments.
- Support production deployments and post-release validation activities in coordination with DevOps and release management teams.
- Perform code reviews and adhere to development standards and best practices to maintain application quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending new technologies, development practices, and process enhancements
