Job summary

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers, seeks a React GUI Developer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web interfaces for Navy systems. The role involves Red Hat VMs, Docker/Podman, and automation with Bash/Ansible.

US citizenship and DoD Secret clearance are required. Telework up to 2 days/week; travel up to 10%. BS degree plus certs within 3 months are expected; strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible; manage source via Git.
• Support SAR/ECR processes and generate installation documentation.
• Ensure DoD STIG compliance and security posture.

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented React GUI Developer to join a dynamic, mission-focused engineering team. In this role, you will work with our U.S. Navy customer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based graphical interfaces for tactical network applications. If you have a Linux background, reinforced with software development and networking knowledge, leverage your passion for software and technology to start a new career with us.

This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

Travel Up To - 10%

You Will

• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman)
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality
• Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance

You Have

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Background in User Interface Design / HFI
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry
• Experience with Navy systems
• IP Networking experience

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain the following certs within 3 months of start date:
• CompTIA Security+ CE
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions
• Experience automating tasks using Bash or Ansible
