Job summary

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving DoD customers, seeks a React GUI Developer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web interfaces for tactical network applications on Red Hat Linux.

This role offers telework up to 2 days per week and travel up to 10%. You will join a mission-focused engineering team delivering secure software for Navy systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years developing with Python, ReactJS and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and container tooling.
• US Citizenship and DoD Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and design web-based interfaces for DoD applications.
• Develop software in Python, ReactJS and TS/JS on RHEL platforms.
• Automate tasks and manage source control (Git).
• Ensure STIG compliance and document changes for ECRs.

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented React GUI Developer to join a dynamic, mission-focused engineering team. In this role, you will work with our U.S. Navy customer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based graphical interfaces for tactical network applications. This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

Travel Up To - 10%

You Will:

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman)
• Develop software applications in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript on Red Hat Linux platforms
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality
• Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance

You Have:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Experience developing applications using Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Background in User Interface Design / HFI
• Experience developing solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry

We'd be Impressed if You Had:

• Experience with Navy systems
• A Linux OS certification
• IP Networking experience

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain the following certs within 3 months of start date:
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• 5 years developing in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions
• Experience automating tasks using Bash or Ansible
