Job summary

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving DoD customers, seeks a React GUI Developer to design, implement, and maintain high‑reliability web interfaces for naval network applications.

The role supports telework up to 2 days per week and requires US citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance. You will work with Red Hat Linux, Docker/Podman, Git, Bash, Ansible, and collaborate with Navy staff on documentation and security compliance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance required.
• Background in UI design / HFI.
• BS degree in a technical field or equivalent.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and automation (Bash/Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web interfaces for tactical network apps.
• Administer Red Hat VMs and containers (KVM, Docker/Podman).
• Automate tasks with Bash or Ansible; maintain code in Git repos.
• Assist with ECRs and installation documentation; research and resolve issues.
• Ensure DoD security guidelines compliance (STIG).
• Collaborate with Navy customer and engineering team.

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America’s warfighters, is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented React GUI Developer to join a dynamic, mission-focused engineering team. In this role, you will work with our U.S. Navy customer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based graphical interfaces for tactical network applications. If you have a Linux background, reinforced with software development and networking knowledge, leverage your passion for software and technology to start a new career with us.

This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

Travel Up To - 10%

You Will:

• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman)
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality
• Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance

You Have:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Background in User Interface Design / HFI
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry

We’d be Impressed if You Had:

• Experience with Navy systems
• IP Networking experience

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain the following certs within 3 months of start date:
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions
• Experience automating tasks using Bash or Ansible
