Job summary

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company supporting multiple DoD customers, seeks a React GUI Developer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web interfaces for tactical network applications on Red Hat Linux platforms.

You will work with a mission-focused engineering team, leveraging Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript, with occasional telework up to 2 days/week and travel up to 10% to support Navy systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing applications with Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Background in User Interface Design / HFI (Human Factors Interface).
• Experience deploying on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
• Ability to multi-task and balance priorities; strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
• Administer Red Hat VMs (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman).
• Develop applications in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript on Red Hat Linux.
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible.
• Maintain source code in Git repositories.
• Assist with ECR changes and installation documentation.
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting functionality.
• Ensure compliance with DoD guidelines including STIG compliance.

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented React GUI Developer to join a dynamic, mission-focused engineering team. In this role, you will work with our U.S. Navy customer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based graphical interfaces for tactical network applications. If you have a Linux background, reinforced with software development and networking knowledge, leverage your passion for software and technology to start a new career with us.

This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

Travel Up To - 10%

You Will:

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers


• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman)


• Develop software applications in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript on Red Hat Linux platforms


• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible


• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)


• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation


• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality


• Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance

You Have:

• Must be a US Citizen


• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.


• Experience developing applications using Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript


• Background in User Interface Design / HFI


• Experience developing solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers


• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities


• Strong documentation and oral communication skills


• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality


• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry

We’d be Impressed if You Had:

• Experience with Navy systems


• A Linux OS certification


• IP Networking experience

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience


• Ability to obtain the following certs within 3 months of start date:

• 5 years developing in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
