With a focus on leveraging cutting-edge technologies and fostering a collaborative work environment, LinkedIn continually strives to enhance user experience and deliver impactful digital products that shape the future of professional connectivity.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior React Engineer to join our dynamic development team at LinkedIn. This role is heavily coding-focused, requiring deep expertise in modern front-end development with TypeScript, React, and the TanStack ecosystem. The successful candidate will be instrumental in architecting, building, and optimizing fast, responsive, and visually polished user interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-impact projects, collaborating closely with product designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to develop scalable, maintainable, and innovative front-end solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing clean, efficient code, embracing best practices, and making a measurable contribution to the company's digital products.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent professional experience. A minimum of six years of hands-on experience in developing modern front-end applications is required. Deep expertise in React, including hooks, context, composition patterns, and performance tuning, is essential. Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles is mandatory. Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs and converting design mockups from tools like Figma into production-ready UI is crucial. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Git workflows, code review best practices, and a proven track record of writing clean, testable, and maintainable code. Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills are also necessary to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

The Senior React Engineer will be responsible for building high-quality, scalable React applications utilizing TypeScript and modern front-end tools, including the TanStack ecosystem. Responsibilities include developing responsive, accessible UIs from design mockups with pixel-perfect precision, collaborating with designers, backend/API engineers, and product owners to translate requirements into functional features, and creating reusable and composable components with clear patterns for state management, styling, and data flow. The role involves integrating applications with REST or GraphQL APIs, managing complex asynchronous data flows efficiently, and conducting thoughtful code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability. Additionally, the engineer will optimize rendering performance and load times through best practices like caching, lazy loading, and efficient DOM operations. Supporting UI consistency and scalability by contributing to component libraries or design systems, maintaining strong Git workflows, and participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives are also key aspects of this role.
