Weekday (YC W21) is seeking a talented React Developer to join our engineering team in New York City. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using React and modern frontend technologies.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a product mindset and a passion for fast, scalable, accessible user experiences. You will work with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver production-ready apps.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of professional frontend or React experience.
• Strong hands-on React.js expertise.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of hooks, component architecture, and state management.
• Experience building responsive, production-grade web applications.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Frontend performance optimization knowledge.
• Git and modern development workflows.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React.js.
• Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable frontend components.
• Translate product requirements and UI/UX designs into responsive applications.
