Job summary

Staffmark in Ontario, CA is hiring a Reach Truck Operator to safely move pallets, load and unload stock, and keep warehouse operations running with precision and speed.

You will operate reach trucks, use RF scanners, and stage orders for shipment while upholding safety standards and accurate inventory. Prior warehousing experience and forklift certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience operating reach trucks or similar powered industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices.
• Ability to identify products, inventory locations, and shipping docs accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with safety and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a reach truck to move, put away, and retrieve product.

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour

Job Duties

• Safely operate a reach truck to move, put away, and retrieve product
• Load and unload pallets and accurately place product into designated rack locations
• Use an RF scanner to scan, locate, and track inventory
• Pick and stage orders for shipment
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Inspect equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Meet productivity and accuracy expectations

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating reach trucks or similar powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to safely move, stack, retrieve, and organize palletized inventory.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices.
• Ability to accurately identify products, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
• RF scanner experience preferred.
• Comfortable working at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating reach trucks in distribution centers or warehouse environments is preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience operating additional powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, dependability, and strong teamwork are well positioned for success as a Reach Truck Operator.
• Reliable attendance and transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely work in warehouse environments with elevated storage racks and moving equipment.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings while operating powered industrial vehicles.
