Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Virginia seeks a Center Based Services Administrator to manage center-based services at REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home or Transitional Home. The role emphasizes clinical and administrative oversight for DSPs and nursing staff, ensuring licensing and regulatory compliance and coordinating with REACH Clinical Teams.

  • Minimum qualifications include QMHP and/or QDDP with a bachelor’s in human services and one year of related experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited college with a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred.
  • Current Virginia license as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT or closely related preferred.

  • Maintains contact with families and providers during admission.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for administration and management of center based services in either the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home or Transitional Home

Essential Job Functions
  • Implementation of Center-Based Services and other supports for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental illness or behavioral health needs.
  • Reviews staff service documentation for clinical appropriateness and accuracy.
  • Coordinates claims submittal and revenue collection from primary payor sources (e.g. third party payments).
  • Retrospective service review to ensure services provided were in accordance with local, state and federal requirements.
  • Ensures Regional Center Based services maintain appropriate state DBHDS licensing approval.
  • Ensures Regional Center Based services maintain compliance with state and local Human Rights regulations, including appropriate reporting timelines.
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision of DSPs and Nursing staff.
  • Coordinates with REACH Clinical Teams on admission into the homes.
  • Plans and implements structured day programming for all participants.
  • Coordinates transition planning for individuals utilizing Center Based services.
  • Maintains contact with families and/or providers upon admission to Center Based services.
  • In collaboration with REACH Clinical teams, identifies on-going support and training/treatment needs for families and providers who utilize the homes.
  • Maintains linkages and relationships with community partners.
  • Attends all required meetings with REACH Coordinators, REACH Director, and other REACH staff.
  • Identifies, coordinates and monitors necessary training for DSP staff.
  • Ensures the collection of required data and documentation on consumer access and utilization of Center Based services.
  • Works with team to compose guest discharge summaries.
  • Facilitates on-site and video consultation with REACH Medical and Clinical Directors for guests in care.
  • Rotating responsibility for after hours and weekend on call support for DSP staff
  • Other duties as assigned/required.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • Direct supervision of Center Based DSPs and Nursing staff
Minimum Qualifications
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and/or Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) – Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human services or related field from an accredited college/university and a minimum of one year relevant experience required.
  • Graduation from an accredited college/university with a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field preferred.
  • Registration with the Board of Counseling as a QMHP A and/or C required.
  • Current, unrestricted Virginia license as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT or closely related preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities, including programming for individuals with significant behavioral needs.
  • Two or more years’ supervisory experience in a mental health/developmental disabilities setting required. Residential setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of the MH and I/DD systems of care required; specific to Virginia preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize computer word processing and data programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Web-based data entry, etc.
  • Satisfactory background check/screening.
  • Satisfactory Tuberculosis (TB) Screening
Equipment Used
  • Standard office equipment including laptop, fax, smart phone, scanner, printer, copier, tablet. Use of personal transportation may be required
Working Environment and Physical Demands
  • Must possess the necessary abilities to perform tasks such as develop written communication as well as reviewing work to determine accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, and being able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
