Job summary

Accelera is seeking a warehouse associate at the LA Gateway Warehouse. You will manage intake, handling, and organization of freight to support efficient operations and reliable deliveries.

Responsibilities include unloading, palletizing with reach trucks/forklifts, preparing shipments, and ensuring accurate Bills of Lading while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least six months of direct warehouse experience at this location.
• Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proven forklift/reach truck experience and palletizing skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and meet performance targets with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manage unloading of trailers, ocean containers, and vehicles; document damages or inconsistencies.
• Operate reach trucks and forklifts to palletize and move cargo within the facility.
• Prepare shipments by verifying docs, labeling items, and readying ULDs for on-time delivery.
• Review Bills of Lading for accuracy and inspect for potential freight damage.
• Organize cargo to maintain a safe, efficient workspace meeting site goals.
• Maintain inventory records using booking sheets and Warehouse Management System.
• Follow SOPs to ensure quality control and perform freight recoup/rework as needed.
• Mentor new hires and contribute to process improvements.
• Uphold cleanliness and perform site duties including DFT and bond checks.

Based at the LA Gateway Warehouse, this position is vital to our daily operations. You will be responsible for the intake, management, and organization of freight, ensuring that all goods are processed efficiently. By maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy, your contributions will directly enhance our supply chain performance and the reliability of our customer deliveries.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the unloading of trailers, ocean containers, and vehicles while documenting any damages or paperwork inconsistencies.
• Utilize reach trucks, forklifts, and hand jacks to palletize and transport cargo throughout the facility.
• Prepare shipments for departure by verifying documentation, labeling items, and readying ULDs to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review Bills of Lading for accuracy and perform thorough inspections to identify any potential freight damage.
• Organize cargo within the facility to help maintain a safe, efficient workspace that meets our site performance goals.
• Utilize booking-in sheets and our Warehouse Management System to keep inventory records precise and well-organized.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure quality control, including performing freight recoup or rework as necessary.
• Support the team by mentoring new hires and offering insights to improve our operational workflows.
• Uphold cleanliness standards and perform essential site duties, such as DFT procedures and routine bond checks.

Required Qualifications

• Possess at least six months of direct warehouse experience at this specific location.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and capable of meeting physical requirements, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating reach trucks and forklifts, alongside proven skills in loading, unloading, and palletizing.
• Proven ability to adhere to strict SOPs, achieve performance targets, and maintain a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.

Preferred Skills

• Completion of a GED or high school diploma.
• Prior background working in freight forwarding or external warehouse environments.
• Working knowledge of shipping manifests, delivery orders, and Bills of Lading.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $17.45 - $21.81 per hour.
