Job summary

United States Cold Storage is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Reach Truck Operator in McClellan Place, California. In this role, you will unload and load trailers, manage product counts, and ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of reach truck experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Benefits include 401(k) and optional medical insurance.

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / Reach Truck Operator

Job Details

Pay rate: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule: 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Monday – Friday; overtime as needed

Experience: Minimum 1 year operating a stand‑up reach truck within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trailers, verifying proper stacking and freight segregation; tape or stretch‑wrap pallets as required.
• Count all product before storage, compare to manifest, and inspect for damage, infestation, and production dates.
• Report shortages, damages, and misplacements to supervisor; recover received or shipped damage per company policy.
• Assist with physical inventory using scanners; ensure correct lot rotation.
• Prepare product for shipment: pull, count, match lot numbers, and pallet to specified heights (up to 7 ft).
• Move product from staging or storage to railcars or trailers efficiently.
• Operate forklift, clamp truck, slip‑sheet or other power equipment safely; perform daily inspections and maintain orderly facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience: 1 year in warehouse or reach‑truck operation; prior high reach forklift training.
• Physical Requirements: Bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; lift up to 70 lbs with assistance occasionally; stand and walk extended periods; use hand tools; lift overhead; tolerate temperatures 34 °F to –10 °F and a moderate noise level.
• Skills & Abilities: Good arithmetic and reading skills; use scanners, tablets, radios, phones; follow verbal and written instructions; self‑starter and independent; coordinate with others; manage stress in a fast‑paced environment; work overtime as needed; driver’s license may be required.
