City of Pico Rivera seeks REACH Classroom Leaders to provide engaging daily learning experiences for about 20 students, ensure safety, align lessons to state standards, and prepare lessons for potential distance learning. Schedule follows ERUSD calendar, typically 2:00–6:00 PM, with shortened Wednesdays.

Candidates should be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent plus college credits, and be able to lift 50 lbs. Bilingual Spanish is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of college or AA degree or pass instructional exam with 70%.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and ensure the safety of students.
• Maintain clean and organized classroom/work areas.
• Deliver LitART Literacy Curriculum including literacy, math, enrichment, and homework support.
• Participate in professional development and training; use positive classroom management.
• Communicate with parents and volunteers as needed.
