Job summary

Mesa County Valley School District 51 seeks an Advocate, REACH to support homeless students and families under the McKinney-Vento Act. You will coordinate services, identify needs, and connect students with housing, transportation, nutrition, healthcare, and academic support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preference for social work, advocacy, or related coursework.
• Minimum two years in human services, education, or related field.
• Preference for prior school district experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate McKinney-Vento program services and protections for eligible students.
• Identify homeless students and provide information on rights and resources.
• Connect families with housing, nutrition, healthcare, and academic supports.
• Collaborate with schools and community partners to secure resources.
