Job summary

The Department of Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position. The role supports undergraduate education and the development of a new Master of Science in Nutrition Science and Dietetics with ACEND candidacy goals.

The successful candidate will teach courses, supervise experiential learning, and collaborate with healthcare systems and community partners while pursuing ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (for an instructor) or doctorate, Ph.D. or equivalent in human nutrition/dietetics or related discipline.
• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Minimum four years of full-time professional practice post-credentialing with patient care or food service management.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in nutrition using evidence-based, student-centered approaches.
• Develop graduate courses aligned with program needs.
• Supervise and evaluate students during supervised experiential learning (SEL).
• Foster partnerships with healthcare systems and community organizations to support experiential learning.
• Contribute to student recruitment and mentoring.
• Engage in scholarly activities, service, and professional development.
