Job summary

Dental Views is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in Los Alamitos, CA. You will perform cleanings, scaling, root planing, take and process X-rays, and conduct oral cancer screenings while educating patients on hygiene and preventive care.

The ideal candidate is a state-licensed RDH with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience. You will maintain patient records, adhere to OSHA standards, and assist the dentist as needed in a supportive,

Qualifications

• State-registered Dental Hygienist required or pending licensure.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for this role.
• Minimum 1 year of RDH experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis (cleanings), scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
• Take and process dental X-rays (digital or traditional).
• Conduct oral cancer screenings and evaluate patients for signs of oral diseases.
• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive materials.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care techniques.
• Review and document medical and dental histories.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and charting in compliance with dental practice standards.
• Sterilize instruments and ensure operatory cleanliness between patients.
• Assist the dentist during examinations when needed.
• Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
