Job summary

American Tire Distributors is seeking a Gate Keeper assigned to the RDC guard shack to facilitate inbound and outbound traffic, verify logs, and monitor carriers, vendors and maintenance vehicles to ensure secure access and on-time trailer movements.

You will coordinate with dispatchers and yard staff to maintain an accurate trailer pool, collect required documents, and enforce safety policies while reporting any non-compliance promptly to supervision.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 0-1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigned to RDC guard shack and facilitates inbound/outbound traffic.
• Verifies and updates traffic logs for containers, trailers and seal IDs.
• Monitors carriers, vendors and maintenance vehicles and authorizes entrances.
• Communicates with dispatcher about incoming trailers and hub/spoke movements.
• Ensures on-time performance and notifies management of delays.
• Adheres to company policies and documents non-compliance.
