Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Process Engineer to safeguard production lines by identifying early signals of defects and drift.

You will analyze inline defect signals, inspect tool behavior, and collaborate with global teams to drive rapid problem resolution and process improvement. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or metrology, plus experience in data analytics and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 3+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, RDA or metrology.
• Experience with data analytics, scripting or programming for process optimization.
• Ability to manage complex quality programs and collaborate across global teams.
• Master’s degree/PhD preferred in EE, Chemical Eng, or Materials Science.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inline defect signals, process flows, and tool behavior to detect anomalies.
• Quarantine and escalate out-of-control process tools.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving.
• Partner with global teams to share best practices and align methods.
• Work with new inspection tools to enable earlier defect detection.
