Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on assignment.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures to treat heart disease.
• Prepares patients and work area for procedures; pulls instruments and supplies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of ECG rhythms, pressures, and hemodynamics during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and proper waste handling before/after cases.
• Stocks, replenishes supplies and cleans work areas.
• Adheres to safety policies and confidentiality; maintains professionalism.
• Works under direction of physician and collaborates with health care team.
