As a Cardiology Tech, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that performs 11,000 procedures a year serving approximately 5,900 patients. The technologist is an integral part of the team and will be trained to assist with many duties, including scrubbing, circulating and monitoring during the procedure. This position assists physicians and collaborates with other health professionals during the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide optimal care treatment to patient population.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Certification for BLS required. ACLS may be required depending on assignment.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting. The position requires the ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations. The position requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the health care staff and patient.
Previous experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab and certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
