Job summary

Larson Design Group (LDG) is seeking a RCDD/Telecom Technical Specialist to design data/voice, AV, and security systems from concept through construction documents. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure accuracy and align with project scope for small to moderate low voltage projects.

You will develop detailed designs, perform QA/QC, prepare cost estimates and proposals, and support field activities at project sites and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in the design of low voltage systems.
• RCDD Licensure preferred; ability to achieve within one year.
• CTS-D and/or cybersecurity certification (CISSP/CISM, etc.) is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Develops detailed designs from conceptual design through construction documents for structured cabling systems, including data, voice, AV, and security systems.
• Performs initial QA/QC review of project submissions.
• Develops schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
• Promotes and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce design errors.
