Job summary

Larson Design Group in Phoenix, AZ seeks a RCDD/Telecom Technical Specialist to design data/voice, electronic security, and AV systems from concept through construction documents. You will collaborate with project teams and clients, ensuring accuracy and technical integrity across all design phases.

The role requires a four-year track record in low voltage design, proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, and strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in the design of low voltage systems.
• RCDD licensure preferred; ability to obtain within 1 year considered.
• CTS-D and/or cybersecurity certifications (CISSP/CISM, etc.) desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and align with project goals.
• Develops detailed designs from concept through construction documents for structured cabling, data, voice, AV, and security systems.
• Performs initial QA/QC review of project submissions and checks design calculations and specifications.
• Develops budgets, schedules, proposals, and labor hour estimates for projects.
• Promotes quality assurance/quality control processes to reduce design errors and omissions.
• Travels to project sites and client meetings to support field activities and relationships.
